SSEN Transmission, part of the SSE group, is seeking an Assistant Engineering Manager to join the Offshore HVAC Project Engineering team. The role is based in Scotland with 50% of your time in the office at locations such as Glasgow, Perth, Inverness or Aberdeen, driving Island and Offshore projects and enabling HVDC connections.

• A degree in an engineering discipline (preferably Electrical) with Chartered status (CEng preferred).
• Strong knowledge of the Transmission network and regulatory obligations.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams across large capital programmes.
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues to senior management.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver HVAC engineering scope for large capital projects (Gate 1 to Gate 4).
• Chair meetings with Contractors and stakeholders; organise design reviews and HAZID/HAZOP sessions.
• Direct line management of project engineers and coordination of engineering activities.
• Ensure clear communication of technical requirements and seek Technical Authority approvals.
• Promote safety within the project portfolio, including RAMS and CDM compliance.
• Develop Design Management Plans and schedule Design Reviews with the team.
