Job summary

Taylor Hopkinson seeks a Control Engineer for a major offshore wind project. You will coordinate LV/MV/HV operations, advise on HV electrical installations for wind turbine generators, offshore substations, and both HV submarine and onshore cables.

The role includes overseeing MV/HV/LV activities, planning switching, and ensuring safety and integrity of the HV network. Responsibilities include coordinating commissioning activities, monitoring via SCADA, and collaborating with the Lead

Qualifications

Several years of operation and commissioning experience in high voltage electricity, offshore experience preferable.
Minimum 3 years of working experience with onshore substation systems.
GWO courses and HUET with CA-EBS if required by site.

Responsibilities

Coordinate LV/MV/HV operations on site.
Advise on high voltage electrical installations for WTG, offshore substations, HV submarine and onshore cables.
Oversee MV/HV/LV electrical activities to ensure safety and integrity of HV network.
Plan switching activities on offshore and onshore sites.
Monitor and report via SCADA system.
Manage and coordinate HV/MV/LV commissioning activities across project stages.
Coordinate with National Grid and participate in commissioning panel meetings.
