Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc’s Marine & Tunnel team in London is seeking a Sub Agent to join the preconstruction group before mobilisation to Suffolk. You will help develop construction methods and assess delivery risks for offshore dredging, rock placement, heavy lifting, monopile installation, drilling and grouting campaigns in the North Sea.

Key tasks include coordinating subcontractor ECI, developing constructability reviews, and preparing scopes of work for tender packages, while managing safety,

Qualifications

• Experience in marine or preconstruction environments.
• Experience working in a contractor or principal contractor organisation.
• Good appreciation of programme, cost and risk during planning and delivery.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and interfaces.
• Effective communication and collaborative working with colleagues, designers, subcontractors and clients.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractor Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) activities for a defined section of works and ensure outputs meet project requirements.
• Develop construction methodologies and undertake constructability reviews for marine construction activities.
• Review and assess proposed construction solutions for safety, programme, cost and risk impacts.
• Identify and manage risks and opportunities associated with the section of works.
• Develop scopes of work and technical requirements for subcontract tender packages and support procurement activities.
