Job summary

Valaris Limited is seeking an experienced Crane Operator Assistant to oversee offshore lifting operations on MODU. You will lead Roustabout crews, conduct safety briefings, and ensure proper use and inspection of lifting equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years as a certified Crane Operator Assistant with offshore experience preferred.
• For BP-operated rigs, Crane Operator will need 3 years of experience.
• Must meet local training and certification requirements and have current Crane Operator certification.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for safety of the Roustabout crew and overall MODU operations.
• Directs and trains personnel in inspecting safety apparatus and equipment.
• Operates crane equipment to hoist materials and equipment onto and from vessels.
• Maintains crane records and ensures lifting gear is properly secured and color coded.
• Performs preventive maintenance on cranes and equipment and ensures compliance with VMS.
