Job summary

Atwood Oceanics is seeking an offshore Crane Operator Assistant to support crane operations and supervise safety practices on the rig. You will work under the Crane Operator, inspect lifting gear, and train roustabouts in safe rigging and load handling while maintaining radio communication.

The role requires current Crane Operator certification and at least one year of offshore experience, with adherence to lock-out/tag-out and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have current Crane Operator certification.
• Minimum of one year as a certified Crane Operator Assistant with offshore experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and train personnel to inspect rig safety apparatus and equipment.
• Follow lock-out, tag-out procedures.
• Assist in lifting operations and ensuring lifts stay within load limits.
• Maintain crane records and housekeeping of work and living areas.
• Attend safety meetings and participate in pre/post tour briefs.
• Communicate via radio with Roustabouts during crane operations.
