Base pay range

Westminster Academy is an IB World School and an 11–18 academy serving a multi-ethnic community in central London. The academy is now seeking an exceptional office professional to join the team as Office Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the school office.
  • Working with the Receptionist to greet visitors and handle incoming calls with professionalism.
  • Overseeing school records, schedules, and communications.
  • Coordinating school events, meetings, and appointments.
  • Providing administrative support to school leadership, supporting the PA to the Principal.
  • Ensuring smooth communication between parents, staff, and students.
  • Managing supplies and ensuring the office is well stocked and organised.
  • Assisting with budgeting, invoicing, and other financial tasks.
  • Line managing the office team.
  • Overseeing and managing the academy mailboxes.
  • Quality assuring and proofreading all whole-school correspondence.
  • Managing the academy calendar and coordinating this with all staff requests.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous office management or administrative experience (preferably in a school or education setting).
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.).
  • Friendly and approachable demeanour with a professional attitude.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • An interest in educational issues and a belief that everyone can benefit from and is entitled to quality educational opportunities.
  • Attention to detail, confidence, and proactivity.
  • A standalone academy that has the autonomy to make its own decisions.
  • Supportive staff body that works collaboratively.
  • CPD (little and often) – a genuine commitment to professional learning.
  • Active clubs for staff – staff football, events and access to the local gym.
  • Loans for season travel tickets and a bicycle scheme.
  • Excellent, modern building and facilities.
  • End-of-year staff incentives linked to attendance.
  • Two-week October half-term break.

Hours: Five days per week, either all year round or term-time plus 4 weeks.
