Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience as an Office Manager, ideally in a start-up.
  • Excellent organization and multitasking skills.
  • Strong communication, both written and verbal.
  • High degree of initiative, ownership, and independence.

Responsibilities

A cutting-edge science and technology start-up is looking for a proactive and capable Office Manager to support its London team. You’ll manage office and lab facilities, lead local culture and engagement initiatives, and ensure the space runs smoothly and reflects the company’s values.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee facilities for office and lab spaces, including vendor and landlord relationships
  • Organise team lunches, social events, and company culture initiatives
  • Coordinate general office operations including supplies, post, and couriers
  • Ensure meeting rooms and communal spaces are presentation-ready
  • Support health & safety protocols, including hazardous waste handling
  • Assist with cross-functional administrative tasks and projects as required
  • Manage workspace layout and optimise for team growth

What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years’ experience as an Office Manager, ideally in a start-up
  • Excellent organisation and multitasking skills
  • Strong communication, both written and verbal
  • High degree of initiative, ownership, and independence
  • Friendly and professional presence with a collaborative mindset
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
