Job summary

Hewett Recruitment is recruiting a Business Analyst (Financial) for a Worcestershire-based manufacturing business. The role focuses on turning operational data into insights to drive performance and profitability.

You will work closely with operational teams to understand manufacturing processes, support budgeting, forecasting and cost analysis, and deliver reports to senior leadership. The successful candidate will bring strong Excel skills and ERP experience in a finance-informed environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Business Analyst, Commercial Analyst, Finance Analyst or Management Accounting role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience within a manufacturing, production or operational environment would be advantageous.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to handle large data sets.
• Experience of ERP or accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Produce and monitor the annual operations budget.
• Support department managers with budget setting and forecasting.
• Analyse operational costs and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Monitor labour productivity and report on operational performance.
• Review production costs across multiple manufacturing streams.
• Manage inventory analysis, stock reporting and variance investigations.
• Evaluate storage, logistics and packaging costs to identify savings opportunities.
• Conduct production loss and profitability analysis.
• Produce insightful reports and analysis for senior leadership and board presentations.
• Assist with KPI development and performance monitoring.
• Support the development and improvement of operational processes and procedures.
