Job summary

Allstaff Team is recruiting a Finance/Data Analyst to support the Group Financial Controller on an ongoing manufacturing project. You will collate data and present it as meaningful information to help set targets and measures with stakeholders.

The role focuses on data accuracy in ERP, labour utilisation, machine downtime, inventory analysis and cost areas. A relevant finance or data background with Excel proficiency will be essential.

Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of experience in finance, data analysis or a similar analytical role.
  • Experience of analysing and interpreting financial and operational data.
  • Manufacturing experience would be beneficial, particularly exposure to product costing, inventory, labour utilisation and production efficiencies.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and maintaining accurate data.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills, with the ability to turn complex data into clear, meaningful information for stakeholders.
  • Previous accounts experience would be beneficial.
  • A relevant degree or professional qualification would be beneficial; however, candidates with suitable practical experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Pull historical data and ensure data accuracy in the ERP system.
  • Analyze labour utilisation, machine downtime and efficiency.
  • Conduct inventory analysis – stock turns, obsolete stock, stock wastage.
  • Review key expense areas such as utilities and external storage.
  • Assist in business cases for investment, e.g., capital investment to improve automation.
