Job summary

SF Partners is seeking a Financial Controller to lead a small finance team and own monthly management accounts, month-end closing, budgeting and forecasting. This office-based role reports to the Finance Director and supports year-end and external audit requirements while driving improvements in processes and controls.

The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACMA/CIMA qualified with strong Excel and data analysis skills.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACMA/CIMA qualification preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and a keen interest in data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Ownership of month-end processes and reporting
• Accruals, prepayments and journal postings
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Variance analysis with clear commentary
• Preparation of monthly management information
• Cash flow reporting and analysis
• Working closely with budget holders and operational stakeholders
• Providing financial analysis to support business decisions
• Supporting year-end and external audit requirements
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting
• Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc projects and analysis
