Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking School Administrators to support primary schools across Wakefield. You will be the first point of contact for pupils, parents and staff, handling calls, emails, pupil records, and attendance tasks.

Roles are available full-time and part-time with typical hours 8:00am - 4:00pm. Competitive daily rates (£92-£105) and weekly pay, plus DBS support and ongoing consultant guidance to help you succeed in education.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in administrative, receptionist, or office-based role.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and school management systems (SIMS or Arbor advantageous).
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for parents, visitors, and staff.
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and general enquiries professionally.
  • Maintain accurate pupil records and school databases.
  • Support attendance monitoring and reporting procedures.
  • Assist with admissions, registrations, and pupil documentation.
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments, and school events.
  • Produce letters, reports, and other administrative documents.
  • Support senior leaders and teaching staff with administrative tasks.
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with school policies at all times.
  • Contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the school office.

Are you an organised, friendly, and professional administrator looking for your next opportunity in education? We are currently seeking enthusiastic School Administrators to work across a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools throughout Wakefield.

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced administrators or individuals with strong office-based experience who are looking to transition into the education sector. As the first point of contact for pupils, parents, staff, and visitors, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school.

As a School Administrator, you will:
