Job summary

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking Healthcare Assistants to join the bank team at HMP Portland. The post involves delivering high-quality nursing support under supervision, with ad-hoc bank hours and a pro-rata salary.

Please ensure you can travel to Portland, DT5 1DL, for shifts. You will work within an integrated healthcare model, delivering physical and mental health support, health promotion, and patient-centred care for a prison population.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience.
• Experience of facilitating / planning / supporting groups in a healthcare setting (e.g. health improvement, activities).
• Ability to assess risk and care plan effectively while understanding patient rights and needs.
• Participation in audits or research projects.
• Responsibility for clinical equipment/resources and patient belongings.
