Job summary

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Housekeeper to support the Offender Healthcare Team across HMP Rochester and HMP Cookham Wood. You will help keep clinical areas well-stocked, clean and ready to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include stock ordering, replenishment, store management and ensuring safe, welcoming environments for patients and staff. This role requires collaboration with prison and healthcare teams and adherence to NHS procedures.

Qualifications

• Basic IT skills including Word, Excel and email.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent desirable.
• Experience in healthcare, stores or facilities is desirable.
• Good organisational and communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day organisation of offender healthcare services across both prison sites.
• Maintain clean, safe and welcoming healthcare environments for patients, staff and visitors.
• Order, receive, monitor and replenish clinical and non-clinical supplies across healthcare departments.
• Manage stock levels, rotate stock, and ensure items are stored correctly.
• Operate stock management and ordering systems, including Cardea.
• Transport stock, equipment and supplies safely throughout the prison establishments.
• Liaise with prison gate staff regarding deliveries, visitors and collections.
• Ensure store rooms are organised, maintained and fully stocked.
