Job summary

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join a multidisciplinary team delivering patient-centred care within a prison setting. You will assist in providing physical care, taking observations, and supporting a registered nurse to implement written care plans.

You will engage with patients to address physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs, contributing to health promotion and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Hospital/primary care experience required.
• Competent at taking blood pressure, ECGs and other observations.
• Knowledge of wound care is required for this post.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient needs with holistic, needs-led care.
• Provide physical care according to a written care plan under supervision.
• Deliver health promotion activities and assist with physical procedures.
