Job summary

Jobandtalent seeks an experienced FLT Driver / Telescopic Handler Off-Loading Operator for a Unipart/JCB manufacturing site in Uttoxeter. You will unload deliveries, move pallets and components, and support production lines to maintain efficient materials flow.

Shifts are Mon-Thu 07:00-16:00 and Fri 07:00-12:00. Pay: £14.16/hour standard, £21.24/hour overtime after 39 hours. Benefits include weekly pay and onsite parking.

Qualifications

• Valid FLT Counterbalance and/or Telescopic Handler licence (RTITB / ITSSAR desirable).
• Experience in high-volume industrial/manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate FLT and Telehandler equipment safely within a busy site.
• Off-load trailers, HGV deliveries and inbound goods.
• Move pallets, components and materials to storage or production areas.
• Handle components of different sizes and weights, including oversized components.
• Use precision and care to move large/high-value components to prevent damage.
• Complete safety checks, records and paperwork as required.
• Work with warehouse teams, line feeders and site supervisors.
• Participate in yard operations with frequent vehicle and pedestrian movement.
• Ensure compliance with Unipart/JCB safety and housekeeping standards.

Job description

Job&Talent team is looking for an experienced FLT Driver / Telescopic Handler (TLT) Off-Loading Operator to join our team, supporting operations within the Unipart/JCB manufacturing environment. This role involves the safe unloading of deliveries, precise movement of components and materials, and supporting production lines to ensure an efficient flow of goods.

Shift Patterns:

• * Monday - Thursday: 07:00am - 16:00pm
• * Friday: 07:00am - 12:00pm

Pay Rates:

• * Standard: £14.16 per hour
• * Overtime: £21.24 per hour (paid after 39 standard hours)

Key Responsibilities:

• * Operate FLT and Telehandler equipment safely within a busy Unipart/JCB site
• * Off-load trailers, HGV deliveries and inbound goods
• * Move pallets, components and materials to designated storage or production areas
• * Handle components of different sizes and weights, including oversized components
• * Use precision and care when moving large and high-value components to prevent damage
• * Complete safety checks, records and paperwork as required
• * Work closely with warehouse teams, line feeders and site supervisors
• * Work as part of a busy yard operation with frequent HGV, vehicle and pedestrian movement
• * Ensure compliance with all Unipart/JCB safety and housekeeping standards

Requirements:

• * Valid FLT Counterbalance and/or Telescopic Handler licence (RTITB / ITSSAR desirable)
• * Experience working in a high-volume industrial or manufacturing environment
• * Experience handling components of varying sizes and weights
• * Excellent awareness, precision and attention to detail when operating machinery
• * Ability to work to deadlines and follow site procedures
• * Good communication and teamwork skills
• * This role involves both indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
