Job summary

Jobandtalent is seeking an experienced FLT Driver / Telescopic Handler (TLT) Off-Loading Operator to support operations at the Unipart/JCB site in Uttoxeter. The role focuses on safe unloading of deliveries and precise movement of components to keep production lines flowing.

You will operate FLT and telehandler equipment, off-load trailers and inbound goods, move pallets to storage or production areas, and work closely with warehouse teams and site supervisors.

Qualifications

• Valid FLT Counterbalance and/or Telescopic Handler licence (RTITB / ITSSAR desirable).
• Experience working in a high-volume industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Experience handling components of varying sizes and weights.
• Excellent awareness, precision and attention to detail when operating machinery.
• Ability to work to deadlines and follow site procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• This role involves both indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate FLT and Telehandler equipment safely within a busy Unipart/JCB site.
• Off-load trailers, HGV deliveries and inbound goods.
• Move pallets, components and materials to designated storage or production areas.
• Handle components of different sizes and weights, including oversized components.
• Use precision and care when moving large and high-value components to prevent damage.
• Complete safety checks, records and paperwork as required.
• Work closely with warehouse teams, line feeders and site supervisors.
• Work as part of a busy yard operation with frequent HGV, vehicle and pedestrian movement.
• Ensure compliance with all Unipart/JCB safety and housekeeping standards.
