Job summary

Senior Clinical Fellow in NHS Ophthalmology is a twelve-month fixed-term Oculoplastic post at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. The role covers a broad service with three Oculoplastic consultants across MTW sites and a varied timetable including on-call and weekend theatre sessions.

The successful candidate will work in a busy service handling lid malpositions, lacrimal disorders, periocular tumours and orbital disease, with thyroid eye disease clinics and joint operating lists with ENT

Qualifications

• Full and Specialist registration (GMC) or eligibility within six months of interview.
• FRCOphth or equivalent qualifications.
• MD or other higher degree.
• Experience in oculoplastic subspecialty training.
• Publications and poster/oral presentations in oculoplastics and orbits.

Responsibilities

• Join MTW NHS Trust's active Oculoplastic service across main sites.
• Provide comprehensive oculoplastic care including lid malpositions, lacrimal disorders, tumors and orbital disease.
• Participate in thyroid eye disease clinics and joint lists with ENT and plastics.
• Manage sessions at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospitals and other sites.
