Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for the post of Consultant Ophthalmologist within the Oculoplastic, Lacrimal and Cataract service. This is a substantive 8.0 PA, consultant post.

We have a well-established oculoplastic service with high volume periocular skin cancer and lid malposition surgery. Endoscopic, endonasal and external lacrimal surgery is carried out both with and without assistance of ENT colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Well-established oculoplastic service with high-volume periocular skin cancer and lid malposition surgery.
• Endoscopic, endonasal and external lacrimal surgery is carried out with and without assistance of ENT colleagues.
• Research is encouraged and there have been regular prospective trials.
• As part of delivering seven-day care, the post may involve an out-of-hours rota, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
