Job summary

Online Oceans in the United Kingdom is seeking an Integration Engineer to take customer instruments such as hydrophones, cameras, CTDs and USBL systems and make them work on Scout. You will scope the integration, design mounts and housings in CAD, wire into the 24 V sensor bay, and write Python drivers to feed data to the Tether platform.

You will prove the system at sea, document procedures for the field team, and collaborate with customers to explain technical work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years integrating sensors onto vehicles or platforms.
• Mechanical skills: CAD, 3D printing, sealing, connectors.
• Python on Linux.
• Wiring and serial protocols.
• Ability to explain technical work to customers.
• Ocean instruments, uncrewed vehicles and sea-trial time are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Scope integration of customer instruments onto Scout platform.
