With at least 3 years in Ocean Imports within freight forwarding, you will handle bookings through to delivery, coordinate customs, and maintain compliance while building strong client relationships. Office-based role in a busy, global logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Ocean Imports within a freight forwarding environment.
• Strong understanding of ocean import processes and documentation.
• Experience handling shipments from booking through to final delivery.
• Knowledge of customs procedures and import compliance.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Managing FCL and LCL ocean import shipments from start to finish
• Liaising with overseas agents, carriers, hauliers, and customers
• Arranging customs clearance and ensuring accurate documentation
• Monitoring shipment progress and resolving operational issues

• Maintaining compliance with industry regulations and company procedures

Due to continued expansion, they are looking to appoint an experienced Ocean Import Operator to join their team in Sale, Manchester.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for managing ocean import shipments from origin through to final delivery, ensuring a first-class service is provided to customers while maintaining operational efficiency and compliance.
