Red Recruit is seeking an experienced Ocean Freight Coordinator to join our international freight forwarding client at Basildon (or Manchester). This permanent, full-time role offers a competitive salary and a supportive environment.

You will manage Ocean Freight Export and Cross Trade shipments, handle documentation, liaise with lines and agents, update systems, and provide excellent customer service.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years' experience in Sea Freight Exports within a freight forwarding environment.
• Experience handling Cross Trade shipments would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of Sea Freight Imports or Air Freight Exports would be beneficial.
• Good understanding of international shipping procedures and customs documentation.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate Sea Freight Export and Cross Trade shipments from start to finish.
• Prepare and process all relevant shipping documentation, including customs export declarations.
• Ensure shipments are handled efficiently and within agreed deadlines.
• Liaise with shipping lines, overseas agents, customers and internal departments.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and update operational systems.
• Prepare quotations and liaise with the sales team regarding new business opportunities.
• Complete accurate invoicing within agreed timescales.
• Monitor shipments and proactively resolve operational issues.
• Maintain strong customer relationships, providing regular shipment updates.
• Assist with maintaining and improving departmental procedures and operational efficiencies.
• Work closely with management to ensure excellent service standards are maintained.

Salary: £30,000 - £33,500 per annum (DOE)

Location: Basildon, Essex or Manchester

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.30pm (40 hours per week)

Red Recruit is currently seeking an experienced Ocean Freight Coordinator to join a well-established and highly regarded international freight forwarding and logistics company at either their Basildon or Manchester office.

What you'll do:

As Ocean Freight Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing Ocean Freight Export and Cross Trade shipments, ensuring the smooth movement of goods, accurate documentation and excellent customer service.
