Job summary

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is seeking an Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor to assist the lead OT with delegated duties in the acute team. You will supervise patients in activities tied to their treatment plan and report progress back to the OT, while supporting a friendly, proactive therapy service.

We value flexible, compassionate care and require IT competence, driving ability, and experience in rehabilitation settings.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and maths or equivalent are essential.
• QCF III (health) or equivalent and willingness to undertake are required.
• Experience in MDT and rehabilitation settings, preferably stroke.
• Driving licence and ability to travel between sites as needed.
• Excellent IT skills and ability to use clinical IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Occupational Therapist with delegated duties within the acute team.
• Supervise and instruct patients in activities related to their treatment programme.
• Regularly feedback to the Occupational Therapist on patient progress.
• Join the Occupational Therapy team at Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle as a Technical Instructor.

Job description

The Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor will assist the Occupational Therapist to carry out delegated duties, within the acute team at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle. They will supervise and instruct the patients in activities relating to their treatment programme and regularly feedback to the Occupational Therapist. We are looking for a friendly and motivated individual to join our Occupational Therapy team at the Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle as an Occupational Therapy Technical Instructor.
