Occupational Therapist - Regaining Independence Service

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Locum Occupational Therapist to join our Regaining Independence Service.

As part of the Council's Reablement Service, you will use your professional skills and expertise to support customers in maximising their independence and achieving their personal goals. The North West Team covers the northern and western areas of West Sussex, delivering community-based occupational therapy interventions to customers in their own homes.

This is a short-term service, typically providing support for up to six weeks. You will undertake comprehensive assessments, establish meaningful goals with customers, deliver specialist occupational therapy interventions, monitor progress, and adapt support plans to help people achieve the best possible outcomes.

The role requires strong assessment, analytical and problem-solving skills, alongside the ability to apply evidence-based occupational therapy practice. You will work closely with our reablement care provider and other health and social care professionals, requiring effective partnership working and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Professional and management supervision will be provided to support your ongoing development. Excellent communication and IT skills are essential, together with the ability to work flexibly across the community and manage a varied caseload.
