Job summary

WFS Patron in Huntingdon seeks an Occupational Health Advisor to join a small, friendly team. You will provide proactive health education whilst advising managers and staff on sickness absence management and facilitating early return to work.

You will play a key role in recognising and driving improvements to the Occupational Health Unit, based at the purpose-built facility on Percy Road, Huntingdon, with a focus on delivering high-quality medical opinions and clear management reports.

Qualifications

• Part 1 of the NMC Register and a qualification in Occupational Health (Postgrad Diploma or Degree).
• Experience in managing an Occupational Health Department / Unit.
• Experience with managing case work and giving medical opinions to support rehabilitation during sickness absence.
• Knowledge of Data Protection Regulations.
• Excellent listening and communication skills with clear medical reports for management.
• Experience of working unsupervised in an advisory role.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive health education to staff and managers to manage sickness absence.
• Advise and guide managers and staff on return-to-work planning.
• Identify and drive improvements to OH services within the unit.
• Produce clear, concise reports for management and compliance bodies.
