Job summary

Abbott Occupational Health is recruiting an Occupational Health Advisor based in Crewe, delivering a full range of occupational health duties at medical centres and on customer sites. You will manage casework, health surveillance, and wellbeing services, while mentoring colleagues and contributing to clinical governance.

Qualifications

• Degree, diploma or certificate in Occupational Health or working towards it.
• HAVS qualification and chain of custody testing desirable.
• Excellent organizational and written/oral communication skills.
• Ability to travel between sites and deliver reports to managers.

Responsibilities

• Support growth of Occupational Health services delivering clinical performance.
• Provide sickness absence guidance, workplace risk assessments and return‑to‑work support.
• Conduct health surveillance and fitness‑to‑work assessments for safety critical posts.
• Advise managers/HR on staff health matters per client policies.
• Keep up‑to‑date with legislation and best practice in Occupational Health.
• Collaborate with head office to increase service utilization and cover evening clinics when needed.
• Own and update clinical manuals; participate in network learning and peer review.
• Complete case management assessments and share best practices in meetings.
• Demonstrate reflective learning aligned with NMC revalidation requirements.
