Occupational Health Advisor – Hybrid

Salary: £45,000 – £48,000 per year
Location: Daventry
Job Type: Full-time Hybrid – approximately 3 days per week onsite

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor (OHA) to join a supportive and professional Occupational Health team in a hybrid role, combining onsite clinical work with home-based working.

This is an excellent opportunity for an OHA looking for a varied role with a good balance between face-to-face clinical work and remote case management.

The Role

As an Occupational Health Advisor, you will provide a high-quality occupational health service to employees and managers, supporting health, wellbeing and fitness for work.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting occupational health assessments and management referrals
• Providing clear, evidence-based advice on fitness for work and workplace adjustments
• Completing health surveillance (HS) and associated clinical assessments
• Supporting new starter / pre-employment assessments
• Providing advice around absence management and return to work
• Maintaining accurate and confidential clinical records
• Working collaboratively with managers, HR teams and other healthcare professionals
• Delivering a professional and customer-focused Occupational Health service
• Working approximately 3 days per week onsite, with the remaining time working remotely

About You

We are looking for an Occupational Health Advisor who is confident working independently and has strong clinical and communication skills.

Ideally, you will have:

• A recognised Occupational Health qualification
• Previous experience working as an Occupational Health Advisor
• Experience in health surveillance and case management
• The ability to work autonomously while also contributing effectively to a wider team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A professional and practical approach to occupational health
• The ability to provide clear, evidence-based recommendations to both employees and managers
• An Occupational Health qualification is particularly desirable as this will enable you to sign off your own health surveillance work.
