O&M Engineer – Offshore Wind & HV Systems

Job summary

Masdar seeks a senior Offshore Operations Engineer (Electrical) secondee to join the O&M team at a UK asset. The role is based in Lowestoft with a hybrid pattern requiring 3 days in the office and occasional offshore visits, plus travel to London and other locations.

You will work within Masdar's Offshore Wind Asset Performance team, providing technical support to HV transmission assets (HVDC/HVAC) and collaborating with Construction and Engineering teams to maximise production and asset value.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering degree or Level 3 NVQ/Advanced Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience in O&M, wind, HV electrical design or related areas.
• Experience resolving complex technical issues and leading root cause analyses.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational technical expertise across a range of electrical assets (protection, transformers, GIS/AIS, VTs/CTs, UPS, etc.).
• Lead operational readiness of new wind farm assets and assess O&M design from an operational perspective.
• Support asset management development, incident investigations, and risk-based decision making across the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with Contracting, Site Operations, and external contractors to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery and compliance.
