Job summary

Yusen Logistics Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated NVOCC Import Coordinator to support ocean freight import clients. You will liaise with global accounts and ensure shipments are managed efficiently and right first time.

This full-time role is based at Northampton GP3 Site (NN4 5FB) with 08:30–17:30 hours, Monday–Friday. Salary ranges from £27,000 to £30,000 per annum (DOE) with up to 3 days remote work per week, subject to business needs.

Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated NVOCC Import Coordinator to join our fantastic team. In this role you will provide excellent customer service to the ocean freight import clientele of Yusen Logistics (UK) Ltd, by collaborating with the customer global key accounts. As an Import Coordinator, you will review ways of working to ensure shipments are Managed efficiently and ‘right first time’.

This is a full- time permanent role based at our Northampton GP3 Site (NN4 5FB). The working pattern for this role Monday to Friday working 08:30 to 17:30.

The role offers a salary of £27,000 – £30,000 per annum (DOE) with the opportunity to work from home up to 3 days per week, with 2 days in the office (subject to business requirements).

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Import container movements on behalf of the clients
• Work closely with Yusen origin offices to ensure consignments move correctly and on time
• Provide transactional service supports such as customs clearance and haulage
• Act as direct point of contact for clients, ensuring that all operational requirements and enquiries are concluded accurately and courteously
• Communicate and escalation to team members and Management wherever necessary
• Ensure total accuracy of all information and high standards of operational service are always met
• Generate and maintain control sheets to fully track and audit all consignments accurately
• Ensure maintenance of systems with accurate and real-time data
• Provide ad‑hoc freight quotations on request, using every opportunity to up‑sell Yusen services
• Monitor and control all cost and revenue at job‑file level
• Confirm and process all job‑file invoicing
• Accurate and on‑time sales invoicing and cost management

What You Will Bring To The Role

• Proven experience from an administration and/or customer service environment is essential
• Experience in logistics and/or freight forwarding is desirable
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• Ability to prioritise and work under pressure
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Basic IT; Microsoft Office, in‑house systems
