Job summary

Agincare is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the chef in preparing balanced meals in our care settings. You will work 48 hours over a two-week period, with shifts including mornings, afternoons and weekends, and you’ll help maintain a clean, hygienic kitchen environment.

No care background is required; your care shines through the meals you prepare and the welcoming environment you create. You will join a warm, team‑oriented kitchen dedicated to resident well‑being through nutritious food.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen settings, preferably in a healthcare environment.
• Flexible to work alternate weekends and split shifts.
• Positive, team-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Support the chef to prepare balanced meals and snacks.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Follow food safety, COSHH, and health & safety guidelines.
• Engage with residents, bringing warmth and friendliness to the dining experience.
