Job summary

Education World is recruiting a passionate Early Years Practitioner to join a private nursery in Sunderland. The role focuses on providing high-quality care for 0-5s, planning activities, and contributing to learning journeys within the EYFS framework.

You will build strong partnerships with families and colleagues, ensuring a safe, stimulating environment while supporting emotional development and safeguarding best practices.

Qualifications

• A relevant Early Years qualification, such as Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare/Early Years.
• Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
• A genuine passion for working with young children.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Paediatric First Aid is preferable, but not essential.
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and the EYFS.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and support for children aged 0-5.
• Plan and support engaging activities based around children's interests and development.
• Follow the EYFS framework and contribute to children's learning journeys.
• Build strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Support children's personal, social and emotional development.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming and stimulating nursery environment.
• Work as part of a supportive and experienced nursery team.
