Job summary

Bloxwich Academy is seeking a Nurture Practitioner to lead our dedicated nurture provision and support vulnerable pupils with SEMH. You will teach, monitor progress, and adapt the planned curriculum for Year 7 and 8 within a safe, supportive environment.

The role emphasizes building secure relationships, delivering high-quality lessons, and helping pupils access the full curriculum while preparing them to join larger class groups.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant Level 3 or higher qualification.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage vulnerable pupils.
• literacy and numeracy at GCSE level or equivalent (English & Maths).
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role and learning environment.
• Understanding of national curriculum and learning programmes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the nurture provision for Year 7 and 8 pupils.
• Deliver a planned curriculum adapted to pupil needs.
• Plan engaging experiences that motivate nurture pupils.
• Support timetable balancing learning, affection and structure.
• Review progress and monitor integration with mainstream classes.
• Establish secure, trusting relationships to support development.
