Job summary

TARA Professional Recruitment are partnering with a specialist SEN secondary school in Telford to recruit a Nurture Teacher for a Year 9 nurture provision with an ICT and Media focus. The role is full-time with a rolling contract, starting on 28 September.

You will plan and deliver accessible lessons, adapt to each pupil's needs and work with a dedicated team to support academic, social and emotional development.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching within a secondary school setting.
• Knowledge or experience of teaching ICT and/or Media.
• Experience working with pupils with SEN or additional learning needs.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A patient, empathetic, consistent and nurturing approach to supporting young people.
• Flexible, reliable and professional.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and accessible lessons to a Year 9 nurture group with a focus on ICT and Media.
• Adapt teaching to meet individual pupil needs and learning styles.
• Collaborate with colleagues and school team to support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
