Job summary

The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Quality and Safety Facilitator to join its Corporate Nursing team. The role will coordinate quality improvement across the Trust, engaging multi-disciplinary teams and learning from patient experience, incidents and complaints to drive safer care.

The post holder will work at The Princess Royal Hospital (Telford) and The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital; hours depend on initiatives and may require out of hours.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse on NMC Register and degree-level health/nursing studies.
• Experience implementing quality improvement initiatives and engaging multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ability to learn from patient experience, incidents and complaints and report outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support nursing aspects of the Trust Improvement Plan across clinical areas.
• Lead improvement initiatives related to falls, pressure ulcers and deterioration.
• Provide advice and support to Ward/Department teams on quality and safety issues.
• Contribute to handling clinical incidents, assess actions and implement initial responses.
