Job summary

Spire Manchester Hospital is recruiting a Lead Pre-Assessment Nurse to head a busy, expanding service and ensure patients are clinically prepared for surgery with a seamless journey from the start.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, work with consultants and anaesthetists, and drive improvements within a modern, patient-centred hospital.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration is required.
• Previous experience within Pre-Assessment and/or surgical services.
• Leadership or team management experience.
• Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage a varied and complex patient caseload.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional patient experiences.

Responsibilities

• Providing leadership, guidance and support to the Pre-Assessment team.
• Delivering comprehensive pre-operative assessments for a wide range of surgical specialties.
• Working closely with consultants, anaesthetists and clinical teams to optimise patient outcomes.

Lead a High-Quality Pre-Assessment Service at One of Manchester's Leading Private Hospitals Spire Manchester Hospital is seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Pre-Assessment Nurse to join our dedicated team.

This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role within a busy and expanding Pre-Assessment service at our state-of-the-art £65 million hospital. Working alongside experienced consultants, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary teams, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring patients receive exceptional care and a seamless surgical journey from the very start.

As a leader within the department, you'll help shape and develop the service, support and inspire your colleagues, and make a real difference to patient outcomes in a modern, forward-thinking healthcare environment. The Opportunity

As Lead Pre-Assessment Nurse, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of a high-quality, patient-focused Pre-Assessment service. You will ensure patients are clinically prepared for surgery, receive outstanding care, and benefit from a safe and efficient pathway throughout their surgical journey.

Who We're Looking For

You will be a confident and motivated Registered Nurse who enjoys leading others and delivering outstanding patient care.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
