Job summary

Purosearch Ltd in Altrincham is seeking an experienced Nursing Home Manager (RGN/RMN preferred) to lead a well-established nursing home. You will be responsible for clinical, operational and financial performance, ensuring safe, high-quality, person-centred care and full CQC compliance.

Ideal candidate has proven leadership, a track record of improving care standards, managing budgets and occupancy, and building strong relationships with residents, families and local professionals.

Qualifications

• Experience as Nursing Home Manager or Care Home Manager in elderly care.
• NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent) or willingness to complete.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and adult social care legislation.
• Proven leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience managing budgets, occupancy, and service performance.

Responsibilities

What you'll be doing

As the Home Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the clinical, operational, and financial performance of the home. You will lead by example, ensuring residents receive safe, high-quality, person-centred care while maintaining full compliance with CQC standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, motivating, and developing a dedicated multidisciplinary team.

• Managing staffing, budgets, occupancy, and overall home performance.

What we're looking for

Essential:

• Previous experience as a Nursing Home Manager, Care Home Manager, or experienced Deputy Manager within elderly care.
• NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent), or willingness to complete.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and adult social care legislation.
• Proven leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience managing budgets, occupancy, and service performance.

Desirable:

• Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC PIN.
• Experience managing a nursing home with good or outstanding CQC ratings.
• Strong clinical governance and quality assurance experience.
