Job summary

Leaders In Care Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Care Home Manager to lead a 35-bed elderly care home in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. The role focuses on high-quality, person-centred care, regulatory compliance and strong operational performance.

You will oversee budgeting, staffing and engagement with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals, while driving continuous improvement and a positive, safety-conscious culture.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as Care Home Manager or senior care home leader.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and quality frameworks.
  • Track record of maintaining or improving Good or Outstanding CQC standards.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Experience managing budgets, staffing and operational performance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Commitment to delivering excellent elderly and dementia care.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong relationships with residents, relatives, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure safeguarding, governance, health and safety and quality assurance procedures are consistently maintained.
  • Create a positive culture where colleagues are engaged and residents receive consistently high-quality care.

Your Role as Care Home Manager As Care Home Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the leadership, quality, compliance and commercial performance of the home.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for an experienced care home leader with a strong understanding of quality, compliance, people management and operational performance.
You will ideally have:

  • Proven experience as aCare Home Manager, Registered Manager, Nursing Home Manager or senior care home leader.
  • Strong knowledge ofCQC regulations, compliance and quality frameworks.
  • A track record of maintaining or improvingGood or Outstanding CQC standards.
  • ALevel 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, or an equivalent management qualification.
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills.
  • Experience managing budgets, staffing and operational performance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • A clear understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care.
  • The ability to build an engaged, stable and high-performing team.
  • A genuine commitment to delivering excellent elderly and dementia care.

A nursing qualification with an activeNMC PINwould be advantageous, although this isnot essentialfor the position.
