Purosearch Ltd is seeking an experienced Nursing Home Manager for a small residential and nursing home in Chester. The role entails overall responsibility for daily operations, ensuring exceptional care and regulatory compliance within a supportive leadership team.

The ideal candidate will have prior Nursing Home Manager or Home Manager experience, with NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Adult Care preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a nursing/elderly care home or similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and governance.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and occupancy to achieve targets.

We welcome applications from experienced Registered Nurses (RGN, RMN or RNLD), although experienced non-nurse Care Home Managers with an outstanding track record will also be considered.

About the Role

As the Nursing Home Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring exceptional standards of care, regulatory compliance, and commercial performance.

You’ll lead and inspire your team, maintain a positive culture, and continue delivering person-centred care within a welcoming and well-respected home.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall management of the nursing home.
• Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and all statutory requirements.
• Deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred nursing and residential care.
• Recruit, develop and retain a high-performing team.
• Manage budgets, occupancy and financial performance.
• Maintain excellent relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and local commissioners.
• Drive continuous quality improvement and positive inspection outcomes.
• Promote a caring, supportive and inclusive culture.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Nursing Home Manager, Registered Home Manager, Care Home Manager, or Home Manager.
• Nurse qualified (RGN, RMN or RNLD) is preferred but not essential.
• NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or equivalent) is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, clinical governance and quality standards.
• Proven leadership, people management and communication skills.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to manage occupancy and budgets.
• Passion for delivering outstanding care for older people.
