Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a senior nursing education lead to manage the non-medical education and research portfolio. This fixed-term post spans 18 months and covers policy setting, governance oversight with HEI partners, and management of the Practice Development team.

After six months, the role includes on-call duties and deputising for the Deputy Chief Nursing Officer. Required are a first-level nursing qualification, a Masters-level qualification or evidence thereof, and

Qualifications

• First level registered nursing qualification.
• Masters degree (or evidence of Masters-level study).
• Evidence of continuing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the non-medical education and research portfolio.
• Set policy and strategy for education and non-medical research.
• Oversee education governance and assurance with NHS and HEI partners.
• Act as professional nursing lead for education and practice development.
• Lead the Practice Educators and Practice Development Team.
• Deputise for the Deputy Chief Nursing Officer after six months.
• Analyse complex data and produce reports to inform strategy.
