Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking a Team Lead for the Community Children’s Nursing and Specialist School Nursing team across East Berkshire, based at Upton Hospital. The role combines clinical leadership with a small caseload, supervising staff and planning workforce to deliver high-quality care for children with complex health needs.

Flexible working within core hours and some agile working are considered.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration as a children's nurse.
• Experience in community nursing for children with complex health needs.
• Safeguarding knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership of the community and specialist school nursing team across East Berkshire.
• Deliver high-quality nursing care for children and young people with complex, long-term needs.
• Manage a small clinical caseload and support staff with complex decisions.
• Provide supervision and annual appraisals for team members.
• Lead workforce planning, rota coordination and staff absence management.
• Collaborate on service development and quality improvement.
