Nursing Assistants Band 3 - Ward 25 Sub Acute Ward North Tyneside

An exciting opportunity has arisen on Ward 25 at North Tyneside General Hospital. We are seeking a nursing assistant to join our new ward and team.

We are looking for experienced candidates who are committed to ensuring safe and high-quality care for our patients, serving as role models and supporting other members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT).

You will work as part of a dynamic nursing team, delivering all aspects of patient care and demonstrating excellent communication skills. Previous experience in a similar setting is desirable but not essential. The role involves rotational shifts, including day and night shifts, covering seven days a week.

Main duties of the job

1. The primary purpose is to plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care as part of the multidisciplinary team under supervision.
2. Assist qualified nursing staff in delivering high-quality direct and indirect patient care.
3. Provide assistance and support to patients, carers, and the MDT.
4. Maintain high clinical standards.
5. Help keep the ward environment clean and safe.

Job description

1. Undertake delegated clinical care duties in hospital, community, and other settings.
2. Record patient observations and clinical changes.
3. Carry out limited clinical care duties.
4. Assist under supervision of a qualified nurse in implementing direct and non-direct patient care.
5. Provide high-quality care under professional guidance.

Person Specification

• Qualifications / Professional Registration (Essential): Completion of a competency-based programme or equivalent experience; Level 3 healthcare qualification or demonstrable equivalent.
• Experience and Knowledge (Essential): Previous care experience in health or social care settings.
• Desirable: Evidence of completed competencies aligned to the service area; Customer Care course.
