Overview

Nursery Teaching Assistant – Prospero Teaching is looking for a hardworking, motivating Reception teaching assistant in Newham, East London. The school is a two-form Primary school with a supportive leadership team and a dynamic and inclusive learning environment committed to academic excellence and student success. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to support educators and help students thrive in and out of the classroom. This position is open to all qualified candidates with a passion for education and student support. Prior classroom experience is preferred but not required.

Position details

• Location: Newham, East London
• Position: Nursery Teaching Assistant
• Type of work: supporting teaching, assessing student work, lesson plans/activities, etc.
• Start date: September 2025
• Duration: 1 term contract may be extended
• Contract type: Temporary
• Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)

Experience, training and qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in teaching KS1 or KS2 preferred but not required

• Hold an enhanced Childrens Barred List DBS and be enrolled or willing to enrol onto the DBS update service
