Job summary

Broken Cross Primary Academy and Nursery is seeking a Welfare Assistant (Grade 3) for 32.5 hours per week on maternity cover, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm. Start date 04/01/2027 with a finish around 16/07/2027.

The role requires a relevant nursery Level 2 qualification and entails DBS clearance as part of safeguarding procedures. The nursery cares for children aged 2–4 years and forms part of the Halliard Trust.

Qualifications

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Enhanced DBS clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide welfare support as part of the nursery team.
• Support children aged 2–4 years with daily care and activities.

Our nursery is an integral part of the school and takes children aged 2 - 4 years old.

The successful applicant will have to have at least a relevant nursery level 2 qualification.
