Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking a Nursery Teaching Assistant to support Early Years learners in a Leicester nursery setting. You will assist in play-based learning and daily routines, helping children develop confidence, social skills, and independence.

The role involves working with nursery staff, observing and recording progress, and communicating with teachers and parents to meet each child’s needs. ASAP start with enhanced DBS preferable.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children in nursery or EYFS settings.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Patient, nurturing and enthusiastic approach.
• Reliable, proactive and organized in daily routines.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering nursery activities.
• Work with individuals or small groups to enhance learning.
• Encourage positive behaviour, independence and social development.
• Observe and record children’s progress and provide feedback to teachers.
• Assist with preparation and organisation of classroom resources.
• Support children with personal care and daily routines as required.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a calm, structured learning environment.
