Job summary

Corpus Christi Catholic Academy Trust is seeking an Early Years practitioner to join our EYFS team in Manchester. You will support delivery of early years programmes under the teacher’s supervision and contribute to ILP implementation while maintaining a safe classroom and outdoor environment.

You will prepare spaces for lessons, display pupils’ work, and supervise groups or whole classes as needed, showing strong teamwork, integrity and a good sense of humour.

Qualifications

• Experience in early years and EYFS qualified to deliver programmes of work and ILPs.
• Assist the teacher in ensuring a safe classroom and outdoor environment.
• Prepare the classroom for lessons and display work.
• Supervise groups and sometimes whole classes for sessions/planned activities.
• Demonstrate strong moral and ethical principles and team spirit.

Responsibilities

• Deliver programmes of work under the supervision of the teacher.
• Assist with ILPs and monitoring pupil progress.
• Support safe classroom and outdoor environments for pupils.
• Prepare and maintain learning displays and classroom resources.
• Supervise pupils during lessons and group activities as required.

Job description

This role will initially be based in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). We welcome applicants with early years experience and full and relevant EYFS qualifications. To work with groups of pupils under the supervision of the teacher including the delivery of programmes of work and the implementation of ILPs To assist the teacher in ensuring a safe classroom and outdoor environment To prepare the classroom for lessons, including displaying work and clearing afterwards To supervise groups and occasionally whole classes for a session/lesson in the classroom or outside the main teaching area as required
