Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience working in EYFS and strong understanding of child development.
  • Adaptable, confident and able to take initiative when supervising classes.

  • Positive, patient, proactive and passionate about early education.

Responsibilities

  • Support high-quality teaching and learning within EYFS, helping children achieve early developmental milestones.
  • Deliver small-group and 1:1 intervention as directed by classteachers.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment reflecting our ethos and values.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
  • Provide short-term classroom supervision across other year groups when needed.
  • Support behaviour management and uphold the school’s values and expectations.
  • Assist with assessment, observations, and recording of pupils’ progress.

Job description

CheetwoodPrimary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3Teaching Assistant to joinour supportive and nurturing team. The successful candidate will primarily workwithin our Early Years Foundation Stage(EYFS), supportinghigh-quality learning through play, communication, and early development.

Inaddition to your main EYFS responsibilities, the successful candidate will alsobe required to provide occasional classsupervision across other year groups when needed. This mayinclude covering short-term teacher absence, leading lessons from preparedplans, or providing additional classroom support.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Holds an NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (orequivalent).

  • Is committed to safeguarding, inclusion, and the wellbeing of allpupils.
  • Is positive, patient, proactive, and passionate about earlyeducation.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Has a willingness to undertake a paediatric first aidqualification
