Job summary

Four Crosses Nursery LTD on the England-Wales border near Oswestry is seeking a full-time, on-site Sales Manager to lead growth of our trade accounts and boost sales across the nursery portfolio.

You will own ~100 trade accounts, quote inquiries quickly, develop new business including export opportunities, and work closely with production, office and despatch to fulfil orders and shape production planning.

Qualifications

• Experience in horticultural or nursery sales preferred.
• Proven ability to build lasting customer relationships with strong negotiation and closing skills.
• Self-motivated, well organised and able to manage multiple enquiries and orders.
• Confident working with stock lists, quotations and pricing; competent with business software.
• Effective communicator, able to work with production, office and despatch teams.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow sales with existing customers; quote enquiries promptly and convert to orders.
• Develop new business across trade and retail, including export opportunities.
• Manage customer reserves and contract-grow agreements.
• Produce weekly availability and offers list with stock control.
• Record pricing, market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities.
• Collaborate with production, office and despatch to fulfil orders and influence planning.
