Job summary

Kido Fulham Nursery & Preschool in London is hiring a Nursery Room Leader. This full-time role (40 hours) leads the room, supports staff and families, and drives an ambitious curriculum to achieve outstanding learning for children.

Salary ranges £28,000-£33,000 per year, with strong career growth opportunities within the international Kido group. Applicants must hold a Level 3 childcare qualification with management experience in Early Years and relevant Level 2 Maths/English.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Level 3 childcare qualification and have early years management experience.
• Level 2 Maths and English qualifications (functional skills) are required if Level 3 obtained after 2014.

Responsibilities

• Lead your team to foster day-to-day activities and communicate information to staff and parents.
• Be a positive role model and inspire outstanding teaching and learning.
• Lead performance reviews with constructive feedback and SMART goals.
• Work with the Designated Safeguarding Lead to prioritise child safety and welfare.
• Lead an ambitious curriculum ensuring high education delivery.
• Ensure the key person approach and buddy key person are embedded.
• Pursue continued professional development and encourage your team to do so.

What We Are Looking For

For the Room Leader role, it is essential that you hold a relevant childcare qualification, Level 3 minimum and have experience working within management in Early Years. Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English including functional skills are also a must if you obtained a Level 3 qualification after 2014.

• Lead your team’s performance reviews by giving supportive feedback, setting clear SMART goals, and encouraging them to grow and reach their next steps
• Work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) ensuring the safety and welfare of all children is always prioritised and at the heart of everything we do
• Lead an ambitious curriculum for your room making sure that everyone is striving for outstanding in their education delivery
• Ensure that the key person approach is well embedded in your room and every child also has both a key person and a buddy key person
• Take pride in your development by ensuring you access continued professional development opportunities and encourage your team to do so
