Job summary

Kido International is seeking a Nursery Room Leader for Blackwater - Hawley Green, Blackwater, GU17 9BS. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week role with a salary of £28,000–£33,000, reporting to the Nursery Manager.

You will lead your team, deliver inspiring early-years education, safeguard children, and drive a strong culture and career development within our fast-growing international company.

Qualifications

• Level 3 childcare qualification required.
• Experience in management within Early Years is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead your team with smooth day-to-day operations and communicate with staff and parents.
• Be a positive role model, inspiring outstanding teaching and learning.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and set SMART goals.
• Work with the Designated Safeguarding Lead to prioritise child safety.
• Deliver an ambitious curriculum and ensure the key person approach is embedded.

What We Are Looking For

For the Room Leader role, it is essential that you hold a relevant childcare qualification, Level 3 minimum and have experience working within management in Early Years. Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English including functional skills are also a must if you obtained a Level 3 qualification after 2014.

• Lead your team with the smooth running of day-to-day activities by communicating key information to team members and parents
• Be a positive role model by inspiring outstanding teaching and learning every day
• Lead your team’s performance reviews by giving supportive feedback, setting clear SMART goals, and encouraging them to grow and reach their next steps
• Work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) ensuring the safety and welfare of all children is always prioritised and at the heart of everything we do
• Lead an ambitious curriculum for your room making sure that everyone is striving for outstanding in their education delivery
• Ensure that the key person approach is well embedded in your room and every child also has both a key person and a buddy key person
• Take pride in your development by ensuring you access continued professional development opportunities and encourage your team to do so
