Job summary

Kido Windsor is launching a new Nursery Room Leader role at our Windsor site. This full-time position (40 hours per week) offers a salary of £28,000–£33,000 per year. You will lead the team, uphold safeguarding, and drive an engaging curriculum with a focus on early years excellence.

We seek a Level 3 childcare qualification with management experience; Level 2 Maths/English may be required if Level 3 qualification was obtained after 2014. Sponsorship not available.

• Lead an ambitious curriculum for the room to achieve outstanding education.
• Embed the key person and buddy key person approach in the room.

What We Are Looking For

For the Room Leader role, it is essential that you hold a relevant childcare qualification, Level 3 minimum and have experience working within management in Early Years. Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English including functional skills are also a must if you obtained a Level 3 qualification after 2014.

• Lead your team with the smooth running of day-to-day activities by communicating key information to team members and parents
• Be a positive role model by inspiring outstanding teaching and learning every day
• Lead your team’s performance reviews by giving supportive feedback, setting clear SMART goals, and encouraging them to grow and reach their next steps
• Work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) ensuring the safety and welfare of all children is always prioritised and at the heart of everything we do
• Lead an ambitious curriculum for your room making sure that everyone is striving for outstanding in their education delivery
• Ensure that the key person approach is well embedded in your room and every child also has both a key person and a buddy key person
• Take pride in your development by ensuring you access continued professional development opportunities and encourage your team to do so
