Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a confident Nursery Room Leader in Oxford to lead a team and deliver high-quality childcare in line with the EYFS framework. The role offers a permanent contract, with options for 4 long days and 3 days off, and a competitive hourly rate.

Ideal applicants will hold Level 3 in Early Years or Childcare, have nursery experience, and demonstrate strong safeguarding knowledge and leadership capabilities to inspire a dedicated team and support children's development.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare is essential.
• Experience in a nursery or Early Years setting is required.
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices.
• Confident in leading, supporting and motivating a team.
• Positive, enthusiastic and caring approach to childcare.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of Nursery Practitioners to deliver high-quality childcare.
• Create fun, engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework.
• Support children's learning, development and wellbeing.
• Build strong relationships with parents, carers and colleagues.
• Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are followed.
• Create a welcoming environment where every child thrives.
